James Edward Crews, 69, of Dillwyn went to be with his Lord and Savior at his home on August 9, 2017.  He was born October 12, 1947 in Charlottesville, a son of the late Wilbur and Marjorie Crews.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  Jimmy was a member of George masonic Lodge #32 of Howardsville.  Jimmy is survived by a daughter, Tanya Wood and her husband, Robert of Palmyra; brothers; Wilbur H. Crews, Jr. of Charlottesville, John R. Crews and his wife, Linda of Dillwyn and Richard L. Crews and his wife, Melody of Chesterfield; granddaughter, Brittany Wilkerson and her husband, Tony of Scottsville; great-granddaughter, Crystal Ann Wilkerson; two step-granddaughters, Cassidy Tyson and McKenzie Daly and a special friend, Tom England of Dillwyn and his four-legged best friend, Jake.

The funeral service for Jimmy will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends following the service.
