Deloras “Betty” Huddleston Puett, 84, of Powhatan, completed her life’s journey and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 22, 2016. She was born November 18, 1931, in Buckingham County, a daughter of the late Morton Sr.  and Ola Trent Huddleston.   She was a retired Accountant at the Beaumont Juvenile Learning Center. She is survived by her son, Lee Puett, Jr. (Liz); daughter, Debbie Melton (Bernie); six grandchildren, Toby Puett (Cynthia), Tasha Dunn (Gregg), Blake Armstrong (Kim), Ansley Trent (Andy), McKenzie Davis and Grayson Melton; six great-grandchildren, Kaiyden, Dakota, Ben, Noah, Jordan and Sydni; three sisters, Zanie Jamerson (Jerry), Mary Butler and Sue Maxey (Thomas) and one brother, Joe Huddleston (Lorene). In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers Morton Huddleston, Jr. and Milton Huddleston.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with interment in the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on April 24, 2016 from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to A Loving Heart Adult Home, C/O Donna Gordon and Associates, 1800 Genito Princess Drive, Powhatan, VA 23139.  Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, is serving the family.
