Lela Stinson Bryant, 64, of Appomattox passed peacefully at home following a long battle with cancer.  She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Marshall Hugh Bryant; son, Marshall Eugene (Gene) Bryant  of Appomattox; two sisters, Lois S. Wright of Appomattox and Doris S. Carroll of Wingina and a brother, William Wayne Stinson.  A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Bryant Family Cemetery.  The family would like to thank the staff of Centra Hospice – Farmville, Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, Hometown Pharmacy and everyone who has helped Lela during her illness.  Dunkum Funeral Home is serving the family.
