Cynthia Lynn Ayers, 59, of Dillwyn died Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Lynchburg.  She was born May 31, 1956 in Moline, Illinois. Cindy loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley C. Roberts; sister, Tammy Roberts; brother, Vernon Roberts; stepmother, Bessie Norman

She is survived by her father, Thomas L. Norman of Dillwyn; her husband, Travis J. Ayers; two daughters, Joy McDonald of Illinois and Christina Vest of Charlottesville; son, William Berry, II of Bettendorf, IA; three sisters, Deborah Keeting, Penny Lowe and Stephanie Bennett; two brothers, Thomas Norman, Jr. and Daniel Norman, six grandchildren, Matthew, Karrie, Austin, Robby, Katie and Johnny and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn.  Funeral services and interment will be held at a later date in Illinois.
