Wanda Faye Burnley Stinson, 59, of Wingina, went to her eternal home on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at her home. She was born August 18, 1962 in Lynchburg Virginia Baptist Hospital to her parents, Hubbard Ray Burnley and Beverly Faye Burnley of Wingina.
She grew up in Buckingham County and graduated the Class of 1980. She married her loving husband of 41 years on January 19, 1980. In November of 1981, she gave birth to a son, Kirby Lewis Stinson, III. Wanda was employed 30 years by Buckingham County Public Schools as a bus driver and substitute teacher. In 2010 another son joined the family, Bryan David Haldane; who was the apple of her eye. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother and mother-in-law. She loved her family more than anything, including her fur baby and companion, Grace.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Kirby Lewis Stinson, Jr.; two sons, Kirby Lewis Stinson, III and his wife, Amy and Bryan David Haldane; her mother, Beverly Burnley Adams (Larry); three sisters, Brenda Childress of Gladstone, Rebecca Burnley of Wingina and Diane McCormick (Richard) of Gladstone; one brother, Wayne Burnley of Wingina and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hubbard Ray Burnley, brother, Danny Ray Burnley and a dear loving friend, Bessie Williams.
Graveside service will be held on November 12, 2021 at 1 p.m. in the Maple Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Pastor Buddy Bryant will officiate.
