Ronald Wayne Rush, 72, of Del Rio, Tennessee passed October 28, 2021 at his home. He was born July 19, 1949 in Newport News, the son of the late Earl L. and Helen B. Rush. Ronnie enlisted in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and was stationed in the Philippines and also stateside. After leaving the military Ronnie became a licensed electrician and began working for Brown and Root and traveled throughout the United States constructing power plants. Later Ronnie settled in Tennessee and worked for TRW Manufacturing for many years. He retired from there as a Night Maintenance Supervisor.
Ronnie enjoyed fixing things, tinkering on cars, gardening and spending time enjoying nature.
Ronnie is survived by his sister, Rita Echols and her husband, Marvin; two nieces, Amanda Cox and her husband, Aaron and Allison Thompson and her husband, Thomas; seven great nieces and nephews; stepmother, Reva Rush and numerous cousins and their families.
Graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Rush Family Cemetery, Miller Camp Road, Buckingham.
