Ronald Lee Ragland

Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Ragland, Sr., 76, of Howardsville went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, August 12, 2024.  Ronnie was born on March 21, 1948 in Charlottesville, a son of the late Wilson and Christine Ragland. Ronnie worked for the phone company from graduation until he retired, a total on 45 years. He enjoyed his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed piddling around his house with a lot of odds and ends around his home.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jennie Ragland; two sons, Ronald “Ron” Ragland, Jr. (Ashley) and Jason Ragland (Jenise); six grandchildren, Robbie Ragland, Jacob Ragland (Jessica), Hannah Ragland, Joe Test, Haleigh Ragland, and McKenzie Ragland; seven great-grandchildren; sister, JoAnne Jamerson; three brothers, Alfred Ragland (Carol), Kenny Ragland (Patti), and Vince Ragland (Maria) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his brother, John Willard Ragland and his nephew, Ryan Ragland.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Glenmore Community Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 14, 2024 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
