Robert Lee Ragland

Robert Lee Ragland, age 83 of Buckingham, VA. Robert went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 4, 2025. He was born on January 27, 1942 in Buckingham, VA to the late Albert (Bud) & Clara Ragland.

He is proceeded in death by his wife Helen (Peggy) Ragland.

He is survived by his two loving daughters Carolyn Ann Whorley (Linnie) and Kathy Ragland Williams (Rodney); his grandchildren Aaron Whorley (Gracia), Austin Williams (Kristie), Holden Williams (Kayla), Trey Williams (Karie); great grandchild James Gardner; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Dunkum Funeral Home on Monday, October 6 from 5-7pm.  A funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Baptist Church (Dillwyn, VA) at 2pm Tuesday, October 7, with interment in the church cemetery.

Robert was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Robert served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from VDOT, as a Superintendent in Buckingham, after many years of service. He loved his church and the outdoors. He could often be found out on the tractor or working in the garden.

He leaves behind his loving family and many cherished friends.
