Ralph Clayton Booker was born March 22, 1952 in Buckingham to the late Willie and Bertha Booker. Ralph was called to be with the Lord on March 2, 2020 at UVA Hospital.
Ralph worked many years as a truck driver and loved what he did. He also had a fondness for motorcycles until an accident prevented him from riding any more. Ralph enjoyed spending time on the Davis farm where his family often got together. But Ralph’s deepest love was for his family and many friends. Ralph was a kind and caring person to all and he always had a smile.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Bertha Booker; one brother, George Booker and a niece and nephew he was very close to, Sarah Holman and Nelson Booker.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his children, Ralph (Robin), Martelli and Bridget; grandchildren, Ralph II, Demetrius, Cameron, Raehanna, London, Na’shawn, A’Quarius, A’Quaria, A’Quan, A’Niyah (on the way) and Chelsea, who he saw as one of his grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sisters, Dorothy Woodson, Alma Jane Holman (Percy), Shirley Morris (Charles), Virginia Brown, Patsy Chambers and Gloria Booker; his brothers, Willie Booker, Vernell Booker, Charles Booker (Hattie) Franklin Booker, Ernie Booker (Lizzie) and Earnel Booker (Angie); a special friend, Susan Companion and long-time friends, Gralline Garrett, Wayne Braxton and Ivan “Chip” Davis; his ex-wife, Amanda Carter, whom he remained close to in the sharing of their children and grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews , cousins and friends.
