Patricia Ann Clark passed away on Sunday morning, October 4, 2020 at the age of 89 years & 3 days in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was born Patricia Ann Kincaid on October 1, 1931 in Pine Village, Indiana to Ralph and Genevieve Kincaid, who preceded her in passing. She was known to her children as “Mom”, to her nieces and nephews she was “Aunt Patti”, to her grand kids “Granny”, and to her friends as “Pat”.
Pat was raised in Hoopeston, Illinois, graduated from John Greer High School in 1949 and was an Honor Society member. She moved to Cocoa, Florida in the early 1950’s and became employed by Northrup Aircraft at Cape Canaveral during the early days of the space program. She stayed in Florida raising a family until 1985 when she moved to Virginia to be near family members who preceded her there. She retired from Argonne National Laboratory where she worked with at the Department of Energy headquarters in Washington DC.
She was a firm believer in Our Savior, Jesus Christ and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Preceding her in passing was her brother Robert Kincaid, and her sister Imogene Miller.
She is survived by her brothers, Raymond and Jim Kincaid, a sister Geri Johnson, a son John Thomas Schwartz (Leana), daughters Julie Ann Bove (Chris), and Susan Patricia Pankey (George), two step children, Brenda Carol Lewis (James) and Arthur Clyde Clark (Yuefang), ten grand children, sixteen great-grand children, and many nieces and nephews.
A Grave-Side Service will be held on Saturday, October10, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Arvon Baptist Church, 28350 N. James Madison Highway, New Canton, VA 33123. There will be a reception following at the home of Susan and George Pankey. 1332 Social Hall Road, New Canton VA.
