Patrica Woody (Pat) Dickerson

Patricia Woody Dickerson, 77, of Dillwyn, passed away on July 31, 2023, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. 

She was born to the late Henry Fulton Woody, Sr. and Hazel Baber Woody, June 29, 1946, in Charlottesville. She married her husband Karl Dickerson in 1964, and stood by each other's side starting a family to building a thriving repair business until his passing in late 2020. Pat is survived by her daughter; Lori D Kelly and husband Scott, of Dillwyn. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Ashley Burnley and husband Ricky, Brandon Kelly and wife Leslie, Hunter Kelly and wife Rebecca; five great-grandchildren Logan, Callie, and Christian Burnley; Anna and Audrey Kelly; brother-in-law, Charles Coles and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Known as Grandma Pat to many, she was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Dillwyn and loved her church family immensely. She enjoyed displaying the many photos of her family and friends. Always with a camera in hand at every birthday, celebration, graduation, wedding, family gathers and special event getting the perfect shot. Pat was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories and thousands of photographs. 

Pat is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, parents, sister and brother.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Pat’s church family and friends who have kept her in their prayers, as well as Centra Hospice. 

Graveside service will be held on August 4. 2023 at 11 a.m. at Monticello Memory Gardens. Viewing will be held on August 3, 2023 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands – First Baptist Church.
