Melvin Dale Gunter Sr.

Melvin Dale Gunter, Sr., 62, of Dillwyn passed peacefully on July 20, 2020.  He was born May 24, 1958, in Buckingham County to the late Charles and Lucille Gunter.  Melvin was a logger and worked with several companies in the county.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Taylor Gunter.

He is survived by his son, Melvin D. Gunter, Jr.;  five sisters, Sylvia Gunter, Barbara S. Gunter, Mary L. Johns (Ted), Shelby J. Gunter and Dru Patterson (Chuck);  two brothers, Charles “Bobby” Gunter and David  L. Turner (Cheryl); two sisters-in-law, Edna Baldwin and Beth Williams and brother-in-law, Charles R. Taylor.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
