Mary Adams Midkiff

On March 19, 2025, Mary Adams Midkiff, 84, of Cumberland, passed away after a courageous battle with dementia.

Mary was a beloved wife, mother, and nanny.

She is survived by her husband, David; son, Wayne Midkiff (Cheryl) and daughter, Donna Haislip (Joey); grandchildren, Justin Haislip, Shelby Midkiff Ferguson (Brandon), Colin Haislip and Lanie Midkiff; great-grandchildren, Weston Haislip and Keegan Ferguson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rufus King Adams Sr.; mother, Mamie Herbig Adams; brothers, Rufus King Adams, Jr. and Bernard Lee Adams.

Mary enjoyed 62 years of marriage to David with many fun trips to the racetrack to cheer on Dale Earnhardt, both Sr. and Jr.  She deeply loved her family, church, BINGO, and getting her hair done.  She is finally resting peacefully and back at home with her mother, father and brothers.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 2 p.m. in St. James Episcopal Church, Cartersville.
