Margie McCord, 98, of Farmville, formerly of Prattville, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband S. E. (Sam) McCord and her son-in-law, Jimmy Powell.
Margie is survived by her son, R. L. “Bobby” McCord and wife, Judy of Prattville, Alabama; daughter, H. Elaine Powell of Farmville; grandchildren, Tracey Wilbanks (Paul), Renee Grant (Travers), Spencer Powell (Meredith), Robert McCord, and Jeff Powers; great-grandchildren, Paul Joseph Wilbanks (Angela) Amaris Wilbanks (Raymond), Shiloh Wilbanks (Cristen), Tyler Powell, Sydney Grant and Kennedy Powell; great-grandchildren, Parker, Gunner, Maveric, Rachel, and Logan.
The family would like to thank all the special friends that Margie made here in Virginia, especially Kevin Utt, who was like another grandchild.
A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at The Woodlands where she resided for the last two years. Margie is singing the “Cowboy Song” in heaven for all of you.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
