Kenneth W. Moss

Kenneth W. Moss, 64, of Smith Mountain Lake, formerly of Chester, died September 12, 2023, of heart failure after a long fight with cancer. Kenneth was born November 14, 1958, in Henrico County, the only child of Grace Taylor Moss and the late Melvin J. Moss.

Kenneth attended Highland Springs High School. Kenneth was an employee of Philip Morris with 43 years of service. After his retirement he moved to Smith Mountain Lake.

 Kenny is survived by his mother, Grace Taylor Moss; his loving daughter, Mackenzie L. Moss; along with aunts, Lorine Moss  Martin, Lois Moss Jamerson, Vicky Taylor Hughes and Sue Taylor Hitt and her husband, Bobby and numerous cousins and friends.

In addition to his father, Kenny was also preceded in death by his grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Dillwyn Town Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
