Junior Douglas Lightner, 75, of Dillwyn, Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy; his brother, Roger; and his parents, Junior Lightner and Thelma Guthrie.
Junior was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Christine; granddaughter, Savannah and her spouse, Robert; three great-grandchildren, Colton, Lacey, and Bobby (who were the light of his life and his pride and joy); sister, Linda; aunt, Alice; cousin, Gwen. 
A man of great character and unwavering love for his family. 
Junior will be missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Family will receive friends Friday, December 27, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 at Dunkum Funeral Home. A private interment will be held later.
