Joyce Rush Jamerson

Joyce Rush Jamerson went to her heavenly home on May 12, 2024.  She was born at her parents’ home, Big Oaks, on May 25, 1934.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Edith Rush; husband, Dillard Jamerson; daughter, Gloria J. Combs; son, Robert D. Jamerson and brother, Bruce Rush.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Bernie Jamerson (Jane), Phillip Jamerson (Tammy) and Bruce Jamerson; sisters, Jewell Brown and Barbara Boley; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many cousins.

The family wishes to thank Nicole Mason for all the care and kindness she provided as well as the many family, friends, and NAYAR Health Care and Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Sharon Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sharon Baptist Church or a hospice of the donor’s choice.
