John Jake (Johnny) Jamerson, Jr.

John “Johnny” J. Jamerson, Jr., 59, of Dillwyn passed away on October 15, 2025. He was born on February 19, 1966 to Carolyn R. Jamerson and the late John. J. Jamerson, Sr.

He is survived by his loving son, Jai Jamerson and wife, Cescily; cherished grandson, Jaice Jamerson; devoted mother, Carolyn Jamerson; sister Renee Sprouse; niece Emily Moore; nephews, Kevin (Renata) and Jordan Sprouse (Erin); and great-nieces and nephews, Quinn, Joselyn, and Otis. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, John J. Jamerson, Sr.

Johnny truly enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved fishing, playing horseshoes, and spending time with those he cared about.  He worked many years in roofing alongside his best friend, Mike Edwards. Johnny had a big heart, a kind spirit, and a smile that could light up any room.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home.

Johnny leaves behind his loving family and countless friends who will forever cherish his memory.
