Jimmie B. Quesenberry, 70, of Dillwyn, won the victory over cancer and returned home to Jesus on November 16, 2024. He was born December 18, 1953, the son of the late James Alfred Quesenberry and Frances Pauline Quesenberry. He was also preceded in death by his younger brother, Ronnie Quesenberry.
Jimmie was a plumber by trade, but you could find him in his spare time under the hood, restoring vintage cars or on the lanes throwing a bowling ball. He was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and you could always hear him on a Sunday morning singing worship and shouting an “Amen!” during church service. The children at church knew him best for his big beaming smile. Most of all though, Jimmie loved his family and took great pride in being the provider and caretaker to those he loved most in this world.
Jimmie is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 35 years, Debora Quesenberry; his four children, Lisa Toepfert (Rob), Tommy Campbell, Jr., Britnie Quesenberry, and Jay Quesenberry; his four grandchildren, RJ Rinehart, Joey Rinehart, Ethan Campbell, and Cameron Campbell; his great-granddaughter, Rylan Jean Rinehart; his siblings, Sandy McWherter (Irv) and Gary Quesenberry; and his many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 12 noon at Cedar Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the church service.
In lieu of flowers, the family would love donations in Jim’s honor to be made to www.projectpurple.org that supports those who are battling pancreatic cancer.
