Jean M. Maloney

Jean M. Maloney, 95, of Arvonia, formerly of Manhattan, New York, passed quietly at her home on April 2, 2021.  She was born December 20, 1925 to the late John and Jean Gallagher.  She was retired from Central Virginia Community Health Center-Buckingham.  She had a great love for her grandchildren.  She loved animals.  She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, traveling and crocheting.

Jean is survived by her children,  John Gallagher, Celia Agee (Robert) and Eugene Maloney; sister, Mary Martin;  daughters-in-law Cindy Agee and Big Claire Maloney; six grandchildren, Clairann, Johanna, Little Joseph, Justin, Robert and Jason; two great-grandchildren, Makayla, Andrew, Gillian and Madison and her beloved dogs,  Hexie and Panzer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Maloney and Robert Maloney and sister, Marion Halbohn.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home.
