Jason Wynne, II Obituary

Jason Buckley Wynne, II, 24, was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on February 14, 1998, a
small little monkey that brought immediate joy into our family. He passed away on April 28,
2022 in Buckingham County, Virginia. Jason really enjoyed playing music, as well as listening
to it; music was his soul. He could always be seen wearing his earbuds jamming out to some
type of music that piqued his fancy at the time. He grew up a happy, funny, and curious little guy
who kept his family on their toes. As a child he was full of questions and drove his family insane
with the amount of questions that the little guy he was, had to ask. As he grew older, he dabbled
in a little of this and that for work, but really enjoyed drawing and wanted to be a tattoo artist
when he “grew up”. He went to school in Buckingham County and graduated from Buckingham
High School in 2016.
Jason made friends easily and was a dear friend to those he did meet. His friends have
reached out to his family have expressed how caring and compassionate that Jason was to
them when they were in need of a friend to talk to. They said Jason always had the right words
to comfort them and help them see the light at the end of the tunnel when they were struggling.
One of Jason’s friends that he met in Arizona explained that when he couldn’t see any light,
Jason would share music to warm his soul, Jason would sit for hours talking about the positive
things that life had to offer and this friend will never forget that kindness Jason showed, and it is
something he holds in his life to this day. This is the sweet, young man that people got to know.
Jason is survived by his father Jason Wynne, Sr., his mother Marni Wynne (Meyer), his step
mother Amy Wynne (Simpson), his older brother Nicholas Wynne and younger brother Ayden
Wynne. He had two nephews, Tauren Wynne and Koltin Wynne. He is also survived by his
maternal grandparents, Linda McClenathan and Robert Meyer. He is preceded in death by his
paternal grandparents, Lois Wynne and George Wynne. He has a huge family of uncles, aunts,
and cousins on both sides of his family that will truly miss the young man that he was; the entire
family will never be the same without this gentle, loving, kind and extremely generous young
man. Our family is comforted in knowing that Jason will be in the Lord’s care now, and he is
reunited with his Memaw, Papa, Grammy, Granddad, Tutu, and Uncle Mickey.
Our family will be holding a private memorial service together, and lieu of flowers please make a
donation to The Jed Foundation in Jason’s name, this act of kindness will help to fund the
organizations ability to expand the awareness of mental health issues and suicide prevention
that teens and young adults face in these days and times. The Jed Foundation can be found via
