James Douglas (Jimmy) Davis

James Douglas Davis, 73, of Dillwyn, passed peacefully at home on February 17, 2020.  He was born July 30, 1946, a son of the late Roy Matthew and Louise Hardiman Davis.  Jimmy retired as Beef Farm Manager with the Virginia Department of Corrections.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Allen Davis and daughter, Angela Davis Danley.

Jimmy is survived by daughter, Cynthia Davis Craft (Richard Wooten); sister, Hilda Griggs; brothers, Donnie Davis (Peggy) and Dickie Davis (Debbie); four grandchildren, Kaylee Jamerson (T.J.), Hallie Wooten, Cody Danley and Bethany Danley and many other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 21, 2020 at 2 p.m.   at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with interment in the Cedar Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
