James Harvey (J.B.) Brown, Jr.

James Harvey “J.B.” Brown, Jr., 66, of Buckingham, passed on August 24, 2022.  J.B. was born December 6, 1955 in Richmond, the son of Jewell Rush Brown and the late James H. Brown.   He was employed as a truck driver for Viking SupplyNet Corporation for 14 ½  years.   J. B. enjoyed the simple life and living in Buckingham County for the past 15 years was something he treasured.   J.B. was a deacon at Sharon Baptist Church and a member of Taylor Lodge #117 and a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps.

In addition to his mother, J.B. is survived by his loving wife of nearly 43 years, Tammy Trimyer Brown; son, Jason Steven Brown and his wife,  Shannon; daughter, Brandy Rae Timberlake and her husband, Kevin;  his sister,  Connie Marie Phillips and her husband, Richard, of Knoxville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Steven James Powell, Charity Timberlake, Ylanna Timberlake, and Aria Elise Brown;  his niece, Haley Phillips; his nephew, Jimmy Porter; longtime friend, Barry Barnes and his wife, Paula; J.B.’s pug, Takao, and many extended family and friends.

Funeral service with military honors and Masonic  rites will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Sharon Baptist Church. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.
