Jaden Phoenix Lent

Jaden Phoenix Lent, born December 28, 2023 to Jennifer Lent and Jared Gonzales, passed away at the young age of 13 months on February 16, 2025.

Jaden never met a stranger and that was shown in the smiles he inspired. From the time he woke up until it was time for Curtis to take him to bed, he was on the go. From cruising the couch to singing and dancing in the kitchen with Emily, Jaden never slowed down. He loved his dogs just about as much as he loved pretending to play video games with Jared Rieth. 

Jaden’s evening consisted of eating everything in sight (except green beans), playing with his many toys and watching TV with Denise and Curtis. He was a fan of watching SVU and Little House on the Prairie. 

Jaden’s big brown eyes were always paying close attention to the world around him - be his focus on Bubble Guppies with Emily, family members' dinner plates (especially Mac and cheese) or his doggies. 

Jaden was just learning to talk and he always had something to say. He was very good at saying “No, No” to the dogs or “Nee Nee” (Denise). He wouldn’t say mama except when he was mad. 

Jaden loved everything about bath time. From the fun of playing with his toys, the chaos of splashing and soaking his mama, and the comfort of being wrapped in a heated towel - it was his favorite part of day. 

Jaden was loved by all of his friends and family to include aunts, cousins and his great grandmother. Special recognition for his grandparents, Jeffrey and Diane Gonzales; daycare provider Ruthie; great aunt Heather and family; “Auntie” Sh’ani; Denise, Jared and Emily Rieth and Curtis Barnard. 

Jaden's passing was unexpected and sudden, and he is greatly missed. The joy he brought and the impact he made on family, friends, and strangers far overshadows the sadness created by his loss.
