Obituary

Hermon Harry Taylor “Frog”, 79, of Dillwyn passed February 14, 2023.  He was born February 10, 1944 in Buckingham County, the son of late Sam Jack Taylor and Sallie Jane Godsey Taylor.  He was a retired employee of Kyanite Mining.  Frog was a quiet good hearted man that would give his last dollar or shirt off his back to help someone and always willing to help others.  Frog loved sports especially watching his grandchildren playing baseball, football, basketball, and loved the NASCAR racing adventures of his all-time fan Dale Earnhardt.

Frog is survived by his two sons, Robert Lee Taylor and the daughter he always wanted Regina Taylor and Herman “Beanie” Taylor, Jr.; grandchildren, Brian Lee Taylor and wife Javannah, Matthew Thomas “Matt” Taylor, Elena Grace McCain, Davin Boykin, Haley Taylor, Karli Taylor, Jodi Taylor; great-grandchildren, Madison Jade Taylor, Robert Hudson Houser and Colton Eubank; one sister Ada Garrett and two brothers Luke Taylor and Reid Taylor and numerous nieces, nephews; all his church families and his many  friends.

In addition to his parents, Frog was also preceded in death by his wife Temple Pauline Branch Taylor “Tempie” and great-grandson, Braiden Lewis.

Memorial graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Woodland U.M.C. cemetery.
