Helen "Peggy" (Stanley) Ragland

Helen “Peggy” Stanley Ragland, age 80 of Buckingham, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 30, 2022. She was born on May 22, 1942 in Buckingham to the late Frank and Gabriella Dolan Stanley.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Stanley, George Stanley and James Stanley; her sisters, Frances Stanley, Louise Miles, Hallie Wooten, and Annie Gay Reid.  

Peggy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She leaves behind her loving family and the many friendships that she had.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Robert Lee Ragland; her two loving daughters, Carolyn Ann Whorley and her husband, Linnie and Kathy Ragland Williams and her husband, Rodney; her grandchildren, Aaron Whorley (Gracia), Austin Williams, Holden Williams (Kayla), Trey Williams (Karie); great grandchild James Gardner; her sister, Sarah Sprouse and her husband, Freddie and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Dunkum Funeral Home on Friday December 2 from 6-8pm.  A funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Baptist Church, Dillwyn at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 3 with burial in the church cemetery.
