Henry Granville Craddock (“Bubba”)

 April 18, 1936 – January 28, 2025 

 Henry Granville Craddock, lovingly known as “Bubba,” passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, at the age of 88, with his devoted daughter by his side. A U.S. Army veteran, Bubba graduated with honors from Virginia Tech and was an active alumnus of Fork Union Military Academy. He dedicated his career to the federal government until retirement. A faithful member of First Baptist Church in Washington, NC, he was known for his kindness, love of music, and deep faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wythe and Thelma Jenkins Craddock, and his wife, Mildred Craddock. He is survived by his children, John Craddock (Patricia) and Martha Craddock, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Cumberland, VA, with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Jones Chapel Baptist Church, 41 Barter Hill Road, Cumberland, VA 23040. Bubba’s joyful spirit and unwavering love will be dearly missed.
