Gary Wilson Taylor

Gary Wilson Taylor, 74, of Dillwyn, passed peacefully at his home on August 30, 2021.  Gary was born January 30, 1947, in Prince William County, a son of the late Vance Edgar Taylor and Artie Miller Taylor.

Gary was a man with many talents; he was a carpenter, heavy equipment operator and logger, just to name a few.  He built his own log home and the homes of his son and two granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Havens Taylor; daughter, Lucy J. Taylor and son, Gary Wilson “G.W.” Taylor and his wife, Bobbie; five grandchildren, Patsy Foran, Harley Robertson ( Adam), Annber Taylor, Abby Davies ( Holden) andJ0se Taylor-Galeas,  and  five  great-grandchildren, Treavon Foran, Trea’Shawn Davenport, Anastasia Robertson, Chandler Taylor and Millie Davies and numerous friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Taylor and a brother, Junior Dale Taylor.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Buckingham Community Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Dunkum Funeral Home.
