Franklin Lee LeSueur, 76, of New Canton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 4, 2025 in the Martha Jefferson Hospital. He was born September 4, 1949 in Buckingham County a son of the late Robert LeSueur and Dorothy Winnie Davis LeSueur.
Franklin was a hard worked. He was employed 25 years by the Asplundh Tree Experts as a tree climber. He also ran his own lawn care business, in addition to cutting wood to sell.
Franklin is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Mary LeSueur; sister Sharon Horn, her husband and two grandchildren of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; daughter Nanny, Candy and also Angela Carrington, who did anything to help Franklin; Burley Jones; Chip Davis, Alvin LeSueur and aunt, Margie Davis; other extended family and friends.
He is also survived by many close friends, Bear Johnson, Billy Snoddy, Reuben Logan, Ollie Goins, William Opie, Donald Baker, Nelson Tender, Herman Eldridge, Ricky Hawk, Ruda Logan, Gerald Logan, Jake McCall, Putney Toney and Kenny Wayne Smith.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 3 p.m. in the Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church with interment to follow in the Highway of Faith Holy Church Cemetery.
God has promised us this day. Thank God for my soul’s resting. Thank God for I have been blessed. Rest on my husband; I am going to be okay. I will see you when I get there. Love you always, your wife, Mary.
