Frank Walker Bryant, Jr., 85, of Buckingham County, passed peacefully December 11, 2022 with his wife, Ginger, by his side at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
He was born July 22, 1937 to the late Frank Walker Bryant, Sr. and Bertha Farrish Bryant. On May 6, 1961, Frankie married the love of his life, Mary Virginia “Ginger” Barbour. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church where he served on various committees and as a Deacon. He was also a member of Taylor Masonic Lodge for 42 years, serving as Worshipful Master, District Deputy Grand Master 17th Masonic District and Secretary of Taylor Lodge #117 for 26 years.
Frankie loved Buckingham County and its citizens. He was a founding member of the Glenmore Volunteer Fire Department, over the years served terms as President and Treasurer; Ruritan Club member and served on various county committees, including Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and Secretary of the Electoral Board for 15 years.
Frankie is survived by his wife, Ginger; sister, Lois B. Roberts of Salem; niece, Terri; two nephews, Greg Roberts and Travis Roberts.
Ginger would like to thank the staff of the University of Virginia Medical Center for the care and compassion given Frankie during the last four years and the courteous ness and support shown to her during the hospital stays.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 6 until 7 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, with funeral service to begin at 7 p.m. Interment with Masonic rites will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery.
