Ethelene Gormus (Hootie) Terry

Ethelene (Hootie) Gormus Terry, 74, of Arvonia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2026.  She was born January 03, 1952 to Roy Gormus and Mable Holman Gormus.  

Ethelene is survived by her husband, Roy George Bentley Terry Sr., her children David Wayne Terry (Lisa), Roy George Bentley Terry Jr. (Jenny), William Edward Terry (Lyz), her grandchildren Jamie Mae Molkentin (Dustin), Caitlyn Marie Terry (Chase), Roy George Bentley Terry III (Harley), Lynn Bell, Trace Bell, Justice Calix and Colby Schill.  Ethelene was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Conner Wayne Terry and Bailey Mae-Noel Molkentin. 

Ethelene was an amazing, old soul that will be missed tremendously.  She was the light in any room she walked in. She loved spending her time humming Christmas music, playing Bingo and being with her family and friends.   

Family night will be on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 5pm-7pm at Dunkum Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026. at 1pm located at Dunkum Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Terry Family Cemetery.
