Estelle Beasley Townsend, 95, of Dillwyn went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 24, 2024. She was born February 28, 1929 to the late William Houston Beasley and Ruth Dunkum Beasley. In addition to her parents, Estelle was preceded in death by her sons, Ronald W. Senger and Rickey D. Senger; her sisters, Dorothy B. Kirby and Elizabeth “Teenie” Williams.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela T. Jacobs (Dennis), sister, Rebecca B. Baldwin of Buckingham; granddaughters, Amy S. Price of Appomattox and Martha Kahn (Tim) of Chesterfield and six great-grandchildren, Dylan, Skylar, Alex, Avery, Emily and Andrew.
Estelle was a hard worker. She eventually retired from Stackpole in Farmville. After that she and her sister, Dorothy, were always on the go. Estelle was a member of Freedom Word Church in Appomattox. She loved going to church and looked forward to it until she was unable to go due to her health.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, Sheppards.
