Elbert Wilson Taylor, Jr.

Elbert Wilson Taylor, Jr., 70, of Dillwyn, passed peacefully on July 8, 2020 in Lynchburg.  He was born November 1, 1949 in Buckingham County, the only child of the late Elbert W. Taylor, Sr. and Ada S. Taylor.

He is survived by his son, Herman “PeeWee” M. Taylor and his wife, Holly; his daughter, Melissa T. Wood; four grandchildren, Colby Taylor (Amber),  Dylan Wood (Caitlyn), Cadence and Carter Taylor; special family members, Danny and Courtney Shumaker.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Wayne Wood.

Wilson was an active member of First Baptist Church, Dillwyn, serving on several committees and the Deacon Board, until the decline in his health prevented him from attending.
