Earl Linwood Moss, 94, of Richmond, passed away at his home, with family by his bedside, on June 6, 2020. He was born May 9, 1926, in Buckingham County. He was a World War II army veteran. A member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Richmond, Earl read his Bible faithfully every morning. In fulfilling his Christian calling of loving others, Earl made contributions and donations to many charities and organizations. So many in fact, that the family worried that there was not enough money for his groceries. Earl loved country music, wrestling and watching The Lawrence Welk Show.
Earl is survived by his sister Alice “Bee” Fuller; many nieces and nephews and special caregivers, Debbie, Cindy, Tammie, Briyer, Greg, Richard and Keith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Curtis Moss Shumaker; his father, Robert Andrew Moss and two brothers, Robert Jr. and Walter Bernard Moss.
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the Dillwyn Town Cemetery. Prior to the service, viewing will be held from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
