Cody Austin Woodson, 20, of Buckingham passed away April 5, 2021. He was born on September 17, 2000 to his loving mother, Angie Wright and his father, Adam Woodson.
Cody graduated from Buckingham County High School with honors, graduated from Governor’s School and was currently in his junior year at VCU. He was President of The Linux Users Group and had already secured an internship at Geodecisions. Our boy touched so many lives of people around the world just as the sun does when it shines. His charismatic smile, passion for life, and his thirst for learning was contagious.
Cody was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Berry Wright and his paternal grandfather, Grover Woodson Jr.
Cody is survived by his parents; maternal grandparents, Roger and Nan Wright; maternal great-grandmother, Mildred Wright; paternal grandparents, Roger and Sylvia Campbell; his second mom, Julie Woodson; and Jonathon Alford, known as his “stepfather”. He also leaves behind his three brothers, Tyler, Graham and Lane Woodson and his little sister, Abbie Woodson. We would like to mention Clarisse Liclic, the love of his life and all the aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and the countless friends all over the world.
Viewing will be Saturday from noon until 8 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn. Graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Wright Family Cemetery (behind Antioch Union Church) at 2810 Greenway Road, Wingina, VA. All are welcome.
