Obituary

Charlie Glen Baird, 52, of Buckingham passed away June 8, 2022.  He was born January 1, 1970 in Charlottesville, the oldest son of Linda and Charlie Buck Baird.  A 1988 graduate of Buckingham County High School, Charlie Glen worked all areas of construction.  He liked to take something apart just to turn around and put it back together.   He was an avid sportsman and will be remembered most for his love of running dogs, fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children,  Justin Glen Baird and his wife, Lexi;  Samantha Renee Shumaker and her husband, Parker;  granddaughter, Charley Rose Shumaker;  brother,  Chucky Baird and his wife, Julie; sister, Cindy  Davis and her husband, Raymond,  the mother of his children, Tammy D. Baird and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 2 PM at Saint Andrews Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are encouraged to donate to Glenmore Volunteer Fire Department.
