Cecelia May Fairchild

Cecelia May Fairchild, 92, of New Canton passed peacefully on March 14, 2022.  She was born August 26, 1929 in Danbury, Connecticut.  She was the widow of Clinton G. Fairchild and was also preceded in death by her son, Clinton G. “Chuck” Fairchild, Jr.

Cecelia had a loving and giving heart that she willingly shared with others.  She never met a stranger and treated everyone as though they were life-long friends.  She loved her large family and treasured each one.  She always put her family before herself.

Cecelia and her husband owned and operated A Plus Party Rentals in Springfield for many years. She was also very active in Eastern Star and her husband was a Shriner and  32 degree Mason.

Cecelia is survived by her sons, Keith Fairchild, Gary Fairchild (Lori Fairchild), and Bryan Fairchild (Patty Main); daughter, Pamela Miller (David Miller); daughter-in-law, Nancy Fairchild; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. in the Welcome Wesleyan Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment in Arlington National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
