Carrie Lee (Shumaker) Taylor

Carrie S Taylor, 82, of Dillwyn, departed this earth to claim her new home in Heaven on May 13 2020. She passed away peacefully in the early morning hours. Carrie was a homemaker, former co-owner of a local downtown dillwyn restaurant, and a rental property. She was proceeded in death by her son, Ronnie Dale Shumaker of Buckingham, and her Husband, of 57 years, Charles (Charlie) W Taylor. Carrie leaves behind many friends and family, including but not limited to one sister Ethel Taylor of Dillwyn, currently residing in Farmville. Her caring sister in law, Wanda Taylor of Dillwyn. A niece, Linda Banton (Clyde) of Amelia, GrandNephew, Daniel Taylor of Dillwyn. 2 nephews Frankie (Lois) Shumaker of Buckingham, and Andrew Taylor of Dillwyn. 2 special friends David Wallwork of Farmville and Lucille Jamerson of Dillwyn. She also leaves behind countless other nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends. Carrie will be dearly missed by those closest to her and saw her smile even in sickness. Private graveside services were held Friday May 15, 2020 at 11 am, at the Buckingham Community Cemetery in Buckingham Courthouse, where she was laid to rest next to her Love, Charlie.
