Bonnie Louise Leslie

Bonnie Louise Leslie, age 68, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert A. Leslie, Sr..

She is survived by her son, Nicholas Call; mother, Emma Leslie; brothers, Bobby Leslie (Charlotte), Jack (Carolyn); and sister, Linda Dykeman (Richard).

Bonnie loved her pets and also leaves behind her beloved basset hound, Mazie. Bonnie grew up knowing hard work, being raised on a tobacco farm in Burkeville.

After graduating from Nottoway High School, she moved to Dillwyn, where she married and raised a son. She retired from the Dept. of Corrections after holding various responsible positions; however, her most fulfilling job came after retirement when she took on the role of caregiver to elderly patients. She was dedicated and was so loved by those she cared for.

Bonnie will always be remembered for her sense of humor, willingness to help others, and her sweet disposition!

A family and friends visitation is being held at Dunkum Funeral Home in Dillwyn on Friday, September 5th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
