Betsy Naomi (Via) Adcock

It is with great sorrow that the family of Betsy “Naomi” Adcock announce her passing on February 27, 2024 surrounded by her family. Naomi had just turned 66 and called Buckingham County home for 40 years. Naomi was proud to say she worked for 23 years at Humagen/Origio.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Via and Bertie Via; step-dad Lindsey Martin; brother Carl Via; brother in-law Mike Ponton. There was a great reunion in Heaven.

Naomi is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Melvin Adcock, son Kevin (Crystal) Adcock, daughter Amanda (Marshall) Shumaker, her parents in-law Charlie and Mary Adcock; her pride and joy grandchildren Brady Shumaker, Levigh and Lillie Adcock; her brother Robbie (Ann) Via, sister Linda Ponton, sister in-law Bev Via; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, March 2nd from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn. A private burial will follow on Monday, March 4th at the Adcock Family Cemetery.
