Beatrice (Leftwich) Scruggs

Beatrice Leftwich Scruggs, 98, of Gladstone, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2020 to be with her Lord.   She was born on November 13, 1922, to parents Alexander and Vanilla Mae Tracy Leftwich of Narrows, Virginia.  She was preceded in death by her husband, of 49 years, Wilbur Archer Scruggs.  She is survived by her daughters, Linda Scruggs Davenport (Howard, deceased) and Zanetha Fay Trust (Ivan); four grandchildren, Lydia D. Kalata (Steve) Terry A. Talbott (Pam), Cynthia D. Toney (Randy) and Ryan L. Seveke (Nikki); eight great-grandchildren and four great, great-grandchildren.

Bea was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother.  She was a devout Christian and a devoted member of Antioch Union Baptist Church in Wingina, Virginia.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on December 10, 2020 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Antioch-Union Baptist Church.
