Aubrey Raymond “Lightning” Taylor, 85, of North Chesterfield died January 14, 2021. Born October 3, 1935 in Dillwyn, Raymond was a son of the late Willie Anderson Taylor and Mickie Newton Taylor. A retiree of Philip Morris and was a member of Thousand Trails. He was the widower of Shirley Condrey Taylor. He is survived by his children, Linda Smith (Nelson), Donald Taylor (Sheri) and Tracey Morris (Jesse); step-children, Pam McNeil (Chris), Michael Condrey (Sherry); grandchildren, Kevin Morris, Sherri Ashwood, Chris Ewell, Regina Scheuermann, Elizabeth Wilson, Katherine Akers, Jessica Dills, Andrew Taylor, Amber and Jason Morris; great-grandchildren, Kylie and Dylan, Kelsie and Kara, Skyler, Landon, Karleigh and Kaleb, Coraline and baby brother, Brayden and Avery. Raymond’s special companion, Betty Tuck, who was always there for him. Raymond is also survived by his sisters, Carolyn Ayres, Grace Moss, Sue Hitt and Vickie Hughes. He was preceded in death by brother, James A. “Jimmy” Taylor.
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 1 p.m. in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Dillwyn.
