Annie Marie Stanley

Annie "Marie" Stanley, 88, of Dillwyn, Virginia passed away on August 17 2022. Marie was born August 1, 1934, one of 8 children to the late Emmett Gayle and Annie File.

She is survived by two loving sons Thomas Stanley(Joan) of Dillwyn, Robert Stanley(Cathy deceased) of Buckingham, daughter Alice Tuggle of Richmond, brother Ed Gayle(Doris) of Louisa, sister Beverly Fitzgerald of Florida, grandchildren Casey Jamerson(Ricky) of Scottsville, Joseph Cunningham(Jennifer) of Wingina, George Cunningham of Winginia, Nealy Briel, Cindy Briel, and Thomas Briel all of Richmond, 7 great grandchildren including Summer and Kayli Cunningham of Wingina; as well as many nieces, nephews, and many other beloved family members.

She is preceded in death by daughter Mildred Harris, son Eugene Gayle, brothers Billy Gayle, Norman Gayle, Sidney Gayle, Granvel Gayle, and sister Louise Bennett.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Heritage Hall Dillwyn for their devoted care of Marie.
