Angela Cook Obituary

Angela Sheree Cook was born on January 13, 1983 in Farmville, to her loving parents, Martha and Freddy Cook. Angela was a vibrant soul who found joy in the simple things--spending time with her children, tackling DIY home projects, and gathering with family. Her kindness, loyalty, and strong convictions touched everyone she met.  Angela was the kind of person who never hesitated to help others, and her generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Cook; her daughter, Taneisha Turner; and her grandparents, Fred and Bernice Cook.

Angela leaves behind her cherished grandparents, Katie and Matt Taylor; her devoted brother, Bryan Cook (Vanessa); and her beloved children, Taliyah Turner (Aaron), Trinity Helterbran, Joshua “JJ” Helterbran, and Khalana Bolden.  She is also survived by her aunt and uncle, Acie and Audra Branch; her cousin, Katheryn (Chandler); and her nieces, Nahla and Makeena Cook.  In addition, a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends mourn her passing and celebrate her life.

We will forever treasure the memories and the time we shared with Angela.  Her warmth, strength, and love remain in our hearts always.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 3 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn with interment to follow in the Rocky Mount Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m.
