Alice Glover Carter

Alice Glover Ellis Carter, 94, of Andersonville, departed this life on March 20, 2025.   Born in Buckingham County on March 15, 1931, she was a daughter of the late John Woodson and Lucy Hooper Agee Glover.

Alice is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ellis Lawrence (James) of Fredericksburg; son, Clay Bradrick Ellis (Lynn) of Ashland; four grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Iredell Ellis, five brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 2 p.m. in Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, 244 Chestnut Grove Road, Appomattox, VA. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery.
