William Daniel (Willie) Sharp

William Daniel “Willie” Sharp, 88, of Dillwyn passed away January 9, 2019.  He was born October 24, 1930, the son of the late Warren Daniel Sharp and Agnes Poe Sharp.  He served his county in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  He worked for the City of Richmond and the Department of Corrections in Goochland and Buckingham.  He retired from Buckingham Correctional Center.

He is survived by his sister, Lorene Sharp Huddleston and husband, Joe; two nephews, Ray Daniel Banton and his wife, Monica and Warren Morton Huddleston and his wife, Lacy; great nephew, Cody Banton; great niece, Brooklyn Huddleston; step-niece, Regina H. Taylor and her husband, Robert; step-nephew, Keith Huddleston and his wife, Sharon; step-great nephews, Brian Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Ryan Huddleston and Josh Huddleston.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Cedar Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Dillwyn Fire Dept., Dillwyn Rescue Squad or Cedar Baptist Church Building Fund.
