Taheisha Aliana Turner

Taheisha Aliana Turner, 17, of Buckingham died June 5th. Taheisha was born June 27, 2000. Her mother was Angela Cook and father was Alexander Turner; sisters, Taliyah Turner and Trinity Helterbran; brother, Joshua Helterbran Jr; cousins who were like sisters, Nahla and Makeena Cook.  Her favorite uncle was Bryan Cook and favorite aunt was Vanessa Monroe. Audra and Acie Branch were next favorite aunt and uncle and KC was her favorite older cousin.  She would go home with them and play with the dogs.

Taheisha loved for her Papa Matt to sing to her. She would watch him and smile.  She loved going to school while she was able to and like to interact with the other kids. 

She was in the hospital four times in the last year.  The doctors and nurses and RT Staff in the PICU took very good care of her.  Dr. Shivirahm was her primary doctor and she was also great with her. 

Although her life was short she was very blessed. We were all blessed to have her while we did.  Taheisha gained her angel wings on June 5, 2018. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn with interment in the Rocky Mount United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 12:30.
