James Robert Smith, Jr., 72, of New Canton died suddenly and unexpectedly on June 21, 2019. He was the husband of Barbara Newton Smith for 52 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, son, father, brother and friend. He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Smith, Sr.; mother, Evelyn Nicely Smith and the joy of his life, his son, Robert Wayne Smith. No services to be held.
