James Acie Jamerson

James Acie Jamerson, 79, of Richmond died Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at his home.  Acie was born November 9, 1938 in Buckingham County to Henry Jamerson and Berta Godsey Jamerson and was one of eleven children.  He worked as a printer at Duplex & Globe Printing Company for many years.  After he retired, he worked at Fisher Auto Parts delivering parts.  Acie is survived by his partner of 45 years, Joanne Trivette; his two children, Janet Hopper of Charlotte, North Carolina and Troy Jamerson of Dillwyn; four grandchildren, Rachele Cope, Tyler Hopper, Dalton and Skyler Jamerson; three great-grandchildren, Chantell, Jeremy and London McCall of Charlotte, North Carolina; two sisters, Ruth Brown of Richmond and  Rose Wright of Maryland. Acie was a hardworking man who loved his family, travelling with Joanne and sports. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn.
