Brady Jones, Jr., 69, of Buckingham County left for his eternal home on December 19, 2019, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born August 14, 1950 in Farmville, Va. and preceded in death by his parents, Brady and Gertrude Agee Jones, and sister, Martha Waldrop. Brady is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cynthia Reid Jones; his daughters, Suzanne Snoddy (Joe) and Lauren Grace Jones; sons, Jay (Stephani), Seth (Jessica), and Patrick Jones (Shannon); and grandchildren, Sarah Jordan, Ryan, Wesley, Thomas, and Benjamin Snoddy, Carly, Lily, Noah, Vivian, and Tristan Jones, Erin Leaman, and Jackson Cox. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Woodie (Larry), Patsy Scruggs (Johnny), and Linda Bickford (Rick); brothers-in-law, Mark Waldrop and Floyd “Bud” Reid, Jr.; and loving nieces and nephews.
Brady was a successful second-generation logger (“Brady Jones and Sons Logging”), who took great pride in his work and felt most at home in the Virginia timberlands. His sons will proudly carry on his legacy. He also served as a faithful deacon, Sunday School teacher, and Treasurer at Mulberry Grove Baptist Church for many years. The greatest love of his life was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and other family and friends.
